Hi people,
Gonna blog about my local patch and fave birding spot, It was the place that got me into birding in the first place and seems fitting someone wrights a little about the place.
My love affair began with birding and this nearly 12 months ago and what a year (nearly) it has been. I first went Brascote pits on warm summery September evening with a friend of mine aptly named the Shrew, He introduced me to birding and got me started on hobby that has been somewhat of a life changer with ups and downs aplenty.
As you park at Brascote the first pool is immediately evident, And one of the first birds to catch your eye on this pool will be the gank goose. A whitish interbred fellow with some brown streaking and a shelduck like bump to the upper beak.
